Diva Lounge
Studio IV
For our Studio IV final project, we were challenged with designing the ultimate man-cave. Each student randomly selected a fictional man with a big personality and varied interests in a challenge to overcome our unfamiliarity with masculine spaces. Due to unforeseen challenges, I completed this group project individually. This diva lounge is for a drag queen whose hobby was BASE jumping and collecting memorabilia from the 1980’s “macho-man” pro wrestling world! He also loved self-care and meditation. When designing for this diva, I had to keep in mind he needed space to show off and also look inward.
I was challenged to design a 3D model of this scale in a short period of time, as well as learning how to produce a 3-D walkthrough video. This project allowed me to explore the dynamic between the multiple facets of our theatric main character, as well as learn more about my own flair for fantastic and dramatic design. This project laid the foundation for my familiarity with 3D modeling and rendering softwares.
