For my beginner, 6-week woodshop class, we learned how to use all of the equipment by building a small furniture item out of 2 feet of two-by-four.

I decided to have fun and challenge myself with curves and symmetry in this small bench which I designed around the proportions of a figurine series I collect. I learned how to use many tools to achieve the rounded edges and interior cutouts.

This project inspired my decision to complete my required internship hours by apprenticing to a previous O’More graduate who runs his own woodshop and produces many beautiful, custom pieces.
